So, that time of the year has come around again..
A day which I particularly like, and I’ll tell you why…
I like this day because it reminds me of all the ASD/ Asperger’s children I’ve worked with over the years. And I mean all of them; the runners, the gigglers, the logical thinkers, the pullers, the pointers, the singers, the challenges, the sensory ones, the mute ones and the chatterboxes!
I love remembering these children to remind myself of the depth that is Autism, the inevitable challenges and all the lessons learnt from these wonderful children.
Of course I’m talking about World Autism Awareness Day.
So tomorrow I will be “Lighting it up blue” with my blue t shirt and supporting this fantastic day and I hope many of you join me!
Let’s celebrate our Autistic children for who they are.
