Communication is one of the most challenging things for a parent of an Autistic child to deal with.
Communication is such a vast subject when talking about Autism, one that we could discuss for hours and still leave unfinished, so no doubt we will come back to this subject later in the process.
But if there’s one thing I want you to take away with you today then it’s this….
It doesn’t matter if your child is high functioning, with a varied vocabulary or low functioning and totally non verbal. If you CONSISTENTLY work at the tried and tested communication strategies that I’m going to show you, you WILL see results!
Whether those results mean that your child tells you they love you or simply answers yes or no to a question….
I can tell you one other thing, both responses will give you the most overwhelming feeling of achievement for both you and your child, and undoubtedly making all that hard work worthwhile.
