A letter to my autistic sibling..

Today I stumbled upon a fantastic blog written by the sibling of a boy who has autism. Nathalie talks honestly and openly about how it was growing up and living with her brother Pat. She talks about how it affected her personally and socially as well has how she felt towards him.

I think everyone can learn something from this letter and after reading it again today, I thought it was the perfect thing to share with you this Friday.

Below is the link to her letter, enjoy!

If you have other children too, then I hope this letter encourages you to perhaps take some time to talk with them and find out their thoughts and feelings about having a brother or sister with autism. Encouraging them to be open about their feelings can be a great way of helping your children understand each other and form a closer bond.
Next week I’ll be making a video where I talk about other ways to help your autistic child bond, play and engage with their siblings, so keep your eyes out for that.

Speak with you soon until then,

Live every moment, Love beyond words and make a difference today
